My Insider’s Guide: The Ultimate 48-Hour Hen Party in Tarifa

As a local photographer, I’ve seen hundreds of groups come to Tarifa to celebrate. While my mission is to capture your most iconic moments behind the lens, I’m often asked for my favorite spots to make the weekend truly special.

Tarifa is about bohemian soul and wild energy. If you're planning a girl's getaway, here are my personal tips to experience the town like a local.

Day 1: Art, Style & Golden Hour

Morning:

Brunch & Local Soul Fuel up for the weekend at Andrea’s Brunch (their bowls are edible art) or Café Numéro C for the best specialty coffee in town.

Before our session, take a stroll to Armonia Tarifa. It’s my favorite concept store for deco and lifestyle; the perfect place to find a unique artisanal piece or a boho accessory for the bride.

For your evening outfits, you must visit Tarifa Soul. This is the go-to boutique for stunning boho dresses and chic beachwear that perfectly capture the island's spirit. It’s the ideal spot for the bride-to-be to find her "signature" look for the weekend.

Afternoon:

Our "Fashion Vibes" Session This is where I come in! We’ll meet at one of my favorite secret spots—the dunes or a hidden cove.

The Vibe: No stiff posing. We play music, we laugh, and I capture the natural bond of your group against the wild Tarifa backdrop.

The Style: Don’t worry about overpacking. I’ll bring a curated selection of accessories and "flying" fabrics from my dressing room to add that editorial touch to your photos.

Sunset:

Feet in the Sand at Waikiki After the shoot, head straight to Waikiki on the beach. It’s the best spot to toast to the sunset. Pro tip: Go on a Friday evening for their live concerts—the energy is incredible.

Evening:

For dinner, head to the classic Bar El Frances for tuna tapas, or Silos 19 for a chic meal in a historic building. To end the night, visit Almedina for a vibrant live Flamenco show in a stunning, intimate setting.

Day 2: Wellness, Wind & Horses

Morning:

A French Touch & Rooftop Zen Start your second day with a delicious breakfast at Le Bonjour. This charming café is perfect for a cozy morning with the girls. Afterward, head to a private Yoga session on the rooftop of Hostal Africa. The view over the Strait of Gibraltar is breathtaking (it's also a charming spot if you're still looking for an authentic place to stay!).

Lunch:

A Tropical Escape at The Hurricane For a long, lazy lunch, I love the garden buffet at Hotel Hurricane. It’s a lush, tropical paradise. Afterward, you can even book a horseback ride through the pines and onto the beach directly from the hotel stables.

Afternoon:

Feel the Tarifa Wind You can't leave without experiencing the ocean. Whether you try a group Kitesurf lesson or the latest Wing Foil trend, it’s the ultimate way to feel the spirit of the "Capital of the Wind."

Sunset:

Flamenco in the Wild For a truly unforgettable moment, I recommend a private Flamenco lesson with Clara in the dunes. Imagine dancing barefoot in the sand as the sun dips into the Atlantic. It’s a powerful, grounding experience that connects your group to the heart of Andalusia.
